For almost two decades we’ve been building the largest team in the country that specializes in corporate sponsorship sales. Who you are

  • A confident sales leader, who loves to excel and lead as a role model - exceeding expectations is how you roll!

  • A creative media sales professional, adept at developing integrated multi-media packages that produce outstanding results for your clients

 

  • Experienced in B2B consultative sales, your excellent communication skills connect you with decision-makers across sectors

 

  • Both a visionary and a tactician, you set a course for your sales team, coaching and guiding them to reach a common goal – it’s what you do!

 

  • You’re highly successful in breaking into new categories and key accounts both directly & through coaching sales teams

 

Oh, and you have to have a clean driving record.

 

We are looking for a creative media sales leader, with the vision to capitalize on our Austin team successes and deliver outstanding results for our client & sponsors. Driven by the shared mission of independent public media, you’ll help create sales strategies that will be a win-win in the market as you inspire and mentor your team to excel.

Flexible work location

As we plan our return to office-based working, we’re taking the opportunity to reinvent what that looks like. As a result, the job will always be partially remote. You will divide your time between the office (when we can) for meetings, team one-on-ones and collaboration.  However, we want you out there networking, and we expect you will do your paperwork or calls from the comfort of your home office, too.

You are our ideal candidate if you have…

  • College degree preferred with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant sales experience
  • Minimum of 5 years coaching & managing account executives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel within the Austin area
  • Keen understanding of digital media is strongly preferred, as is success in selling integrated multi-media packages and cause marketing strategies
  • A broad-based business acumen with marketing knowledge across multiple key categories
  • A strong understanding of the wider Austin market including decision makers, local events, and key accounts

What a typical day might look like

You’ll be helping your team develop creative, high impact multimedia packages that bring outstanding results for our wonderful public media sponsors. You’ll collaborate across the organization with other market leaders, learning and sharing insights. As you reach out to the movers and shakers in the vibrant Austin market, you’ll lead by example as you set the strategy for the team to open up new categories and gain new accounts. As a natural connector, you will be growing your community, engaging with business leaders and generating leads. We encourage your curiosity and you’ll spend part of your day learning and developing your knowledge-base. Our days are varied! And Austin’s NPR station, KUT, is our inspiration & the soundtrack to our workdays.
